Last week I had the pleasure of presenting at the Small Business Social Media Summit. The event itself was fantastic, ran flawlessly due to several of the fantastic organizations involved and small business owners were able to take home more than a few tips to start implementing in their own marketing strategies online.

One of the biggest things many companies struggle with is the ability to let go; to stop using marketing speak and to start speaking like a human. At the summit, I shared some examples of where humanizing a business with video has worked online and some important stats of how video has helped brands. I also shared a few tips and ideas to help businesses start thinking about ways video can help humanize their brand.

Telling brand’s stories through video is my passion, I love doing presentations like this and seeing audience members literally light up thinking of the possibilities for their own brand. That’s why I do what I do.
