On the fourth day of Christmas I humbly present “Christmas with love from Mrs. Claus” from M&S. Marks and Spencer (aka M&S) is a major British multinational retailer specializing in of clothing, home products and luxury food products. Little is ever heard of Mrs. Claus other than the frumpy housewife who fattens up the big guy in the red suit so he has enough calories to make his global trip on Christmas Eve. But here we learn (and it should be no surprise) that Mrs. Claus is who you go to when you want to get stuff done. No sleigh thanks, she’ll take the helicopter. Down the chimney? Nonsense! Just go in the front door of course. Mrs. Claus is kind of a bad ass.

Launched in mid-November of this year it has just over 7.5 million views. It’s exquisitely well written and produced and it shows. It’s funny and has a touching ending. It’s also nice to see Mrs. Claus taking care of business herself and emerging from the shadow of the jolly old elf. I can’t think of a better message to send 2016 out with. Every little girl should feel that she can take care of business herself. That’s partly why this video ad is so timely and hits the mark.
